Livingood Daily Omegas + Turmeric
The Omegas + Turmeric is a clean illustration of what Livingood Daily does: bring into one softgel what you would otherwise buy as two separate products. The formula pairs four families of fatty acids with emulsified turmeric.
With more than 1,270 customer reviews and a 4.8 out of 5 rating on the store, it is one of the three best-selling products in the range.
Formula
Each two-softgel serving provides 375 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA, for 750 mg of total omega-3s once the additional fatty acids are counted. The important technical point is the form: the fish oil is supplied as triglycerides rather than ethyl esters, the latter being noticeably less well absorbed but far cheaper to produce.
Added to that are 30 mg of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from borage oil, 30 mg of omega-7 (palmitoleic acid) and 110 mg of omega-9 (oleic acid) from macadamia nut oil, plus 200 mg of emulsified turmeric root. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function at a daily intake of 250 mg, a threshold this formula comfortably exceeds.
The shell is a gelatin-based softgel with glycerin, purified water, carob, beeswax and natural mixed tocopherols as antioxidant. The product therefore contains fish (sardines and anchovies) and tree nuts (macadamia).
Sourcing
The fish oil comes from sardines and anchovies, short-lived oily fish that accumulate fewer heavy metals than large predators. Manufacturing is US-based in a facility the brand states is GMP-certified, with third-party testing. The brand publishes neither an oxidation value (TOTOX) nor a sustainable-fishing certification such as MSC or Friend of the Sea.
How to take it
Two softgels daily, taken with a meal containing fat. Both the fatty acids and the curcuminoids are fat-soluble, so taking them on an empty stomach cuts absorption significantly and increases the chance of fishy repeat.
One bottle covers 30 days. Omega-3s are better taken continuously than in short courses, since their effects depend on gradually enriching cell membranes. Seek medical advice if you take anticoagulants or have surgery scheduled.
Price and where to buy
The 60-softgel bottle lists at $38.95. With 15% off using code LMC on a first order, that drops to about $33.11, or roughly $1.10 per daily serving.
Shipping is free within the US on orders over $99, with International Priority available to Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. The store does not ship to the European Union.
Our take
The EPA and DHA dosing is serious and the triglyceride form is the right call. Adding emulsified turmeric makes sense for anyone who was buying both separately, though 200 mg is modest next to the standardized curcuminoid extracts sold as dedicated products.
Two limits to keep in mind. The gelatin softgel rules out vegan and vegetarian buyers. And the absence of a published oxidation value is a genuine gap on a fish oil: it is the primary freshness indicator, and the strongest brands in the category disclose it.
